Some will say, everyone is a poet. I agree.
Everyone will have varying degrees of vocabulary and the ability to express it, but that is like the a painter with a select amount of colors available to them. The painting they create doesn't need to be perfect in order to convey and translate an idea into form.
For me I always take the reader into consideration, I always like to have a pay off moment at the end of a work. I want the reader to be left with the strongest flavor at the end of the literary meal. Endings are the most important part of the poem for me.
I have chosen to stay clear of rhyming, it frees me to go in any direction. Though I will occasionally dabble in it. I attempt abstract poetry but overall my goal is to make my poetry accessible to all walks of life.
